The research in data science in Hidalgo communities has allowed to establish the mechanisms of interaction of vulnerable communities in the state with nature and the generation of economic resources for agriculture, as well as to identify the critical points of action to improve sustainability at territorial level.

As part of the contribution to society, the transdisciplinary group has generated a series of participatory action workshops for the generation of self-managed community enterprises favoring the restoration of the environment in balance with the needs and economic development of the community.

In an innovative way, machine learning tools, artificial intelligence and neural networks are being applied to federal databases as well as direct field data. In order to understand the relationships between the inhabitants of indigenous peoples and their means of agricultural production and secondary activities in the family nucleus. Allowing to find patterns that establish dynamic mechanisms of action in the communities according to the available information and impact on more efficient public policies.

Areas of generation and application of knowledge
  • Sustainable agricultural, livestock and aquaculture systems.
